IN ABSTRACTION LYRICS
CALM- The calm kept silent for too long, brooding over what was to come, and composing a symphony of flawless, boundless scale that rang out slowly, touching the edge of time. From the earth’s warm cradle it begins, entitled, we shed our reverent skin. With a glimmer and a breath, heartbeats mark more than life and death. We’ve walked these sands and offered all within our minds just not these...
foryoumylord asked: Can lyrics be found online for In Abstraction?
thenameisjason asked: The album is even slower this time. I bet its pretty epic live though. I like Realis the best out of the things you've done. This new album is a lot like Realis but doesn't really pick up like "Withering Branches" or "Seasons". You guys still did a sick job with it. It sounds really well thought out and powerful, it just has to be the right time to listen to it for...
tyd1994 asked: I don't care how many places will give it to me for free, I would spend unnecessary amounts on your stuff. Just got the album with a hoodie on the fifth (thanks to the preorder). Thank you guys so much for being great.

Anonymous asked: Hi there! Waiting for your upcoming release so impatiently! So yeah, are you going to lay out all the lyrics from "In Abstraction"? Much love from Moscow!
Anonymous asked: Hello AHFH! i'm very much enjoying CALM and look forward to this album! Through what kinds of sales do you guys make the most revenue (i.e., merch, album bought through your website, itunes, etc.)? This is so i can direct my support to you via the most beneficial means. Come tour Canada PLEASE!

thenameisjason asked: Hey dudes. I am trying to get a sound out of my guitar and amp like yours. I am so close. I play guitar seemingly a lot like you guys do and enjoy big swells and cute mellow melodies. I just cannot seem to get the "delayed and big" sound you have in some songs like the new one or the song "Seasons."
pandaluveradams asked: You guys are the most amazing band in my opinion. You guys had me ad the Iniquity: An Offering music video. Ever since then I've been wanting to start and Ambiet hardcore band. I would just like to thank all of you guys for making such heart-felt music and for being such an influence. I would like to ask about the new album and what can I expect from it?
rayistoodamncool-deactivated201 asked: I have been listening to you guys for 2 years now, shit doesn't get old. still my favorite today.

IN ABSTRACTION PREORDER
We finally connived our label into buying vinyl for us….so if you are in a position where you can grab one definitely check it out at the link above. We still have CDs and tons of shirt/hoodie bundle options for you as well. This will be the only place you can really grab the record, so don’t wait.

Update 10/25/11
So it looks like next Monday will be the day we preview the first song off “In Abstraction” for you all. We will be streaming “Calm,” which is the first song off the record. And since we are morons and only wrote seven songs, we can’t exactly post three before the record’s release date, because then half the record will be posted online, and hell, you...

Somehow...
Our distributor gave us a release date of the 4th of December, which is a Sunday. Somehow, this eluded not only our label, but us as well. Somehow, it took an entire month for any of us to realize. Oops.
In Abstraction will actually be released the following Tuesday, December 6th, 2011. We are fools. But seriously, we’ll have a ton of stuff coming at you soon like artwork previews, song...

Updates- 8/12/11
So we have been recording for about a week now. The first update is that whole entire spiel about recording in a cabin in the middle of Washington State fell through, so we are recording guitars in downtown Portland about four blocks from my (Matt’s) house. And, if you haven’t figured it out just yet, we are doing things ass-backwards (thanks a lot, school and work). My guitars will be...
thenameisjason asked: I read something you guys had posted before about why you created Realis the way you did, but could you explain it again? What is it about in the most clearest terms?
Anonymous asked: can you guys PLEASE tour Canada soon? <I:^)
August 2011
A year has passed since we started working on our follow up to Realis. A lot has changed between the six of us, be it school, work, engagements, moving, new jobs, whatever. But here in August of 2011, we can proudly say we are finalizing the work we set out to start last summer and are taking the final steps toward the project’s completion.
We are booked to record drums on August 14th at...

fromthestartofitall:What was the first band that got you stoked on music and why?
Matt: Forgoing the obvious “first” bands like Metallica and Led Zeppelin (though I’ll sit through 4 hours of Zep any day today), It wasn’t until I heard Full Collapse by Thursday as a pimply-faced 9th grade…

Something that has been festering inside me lately that found its way out through a question on our formspring. Its getting to be time to write our new record, so I’m probably going to sink into hibernation for a while (hibernation, that is, where you don’t sleep, work on way too many things at once, lose weight, eat poorly, and emerge with a record ready to be lambasted by...

August 2010
We’ve been home for a couple weeks, so I thought I’d drop a quick update.
We have been taking it a little slow in the ahfh camp as far as our personal lives go. As you read, we wont be touring quite as much, thanks to the current state of the economy/music industry. But we are really excited to share some new music with all of you. Since we’ve been back, Dan and I (Matt) have...

Day 1
We spent most of today trying to figure out how to set up equipment for 6 people in a tracking room that was meant to hold maybe a drumset and an amp for a monitor. We started to hash out some ideas, which we are very, very excited about. We might throw a little teaser up somewhere sometime soon for you to check out.
We are getting ready to head back to start day 2 but before, we are stopping at...
